WHAT HAPPENS AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Our team of experienced occupational therapists will listen to what is important to you. We want to know what you need and want to do with greater ease or independence.
CAPACITY BUILDING + REHABILITATION
Your rehabilitation, and knowledge of yourself and your life, is important. Your first appointment will include an informal conversation to give you a chance to explain what you would like to achieve by working with us and give us a chance to set goals and timeframes.
We will ask about what has happened, what treatment you have received and what has and hasn’t been helpful. We’ll recommend what we think will help and what your treatment plan will look like.
Your appointments can occur at your home or in your local area and usually last for around 45-60 minutes. Any relevant therapy and medical reports or care plans you have and are happy to share are very useful in treatment planning.
We offer one to one therapy sessions with experienced Occupational Therapists.
FUNDING AND REFERRALS
You, your family, your GP, specialist doctor or another health professional may think you would benefit from occupational therapy. You may self-refer or be referred by any of the above. We will always return your call or email and will let you know if we have a waitlist. We won’t leave you hanging.
